Whale

The boys were making whales today. My aim today was to teach them to finger paint  experience the results of different ways of painting and what effect would it create.

Using construction paper I asked them to paint the ocean using their painting brushes. My instruction was to put their brushes in the upright position and begin patting the brushes on the canvass to create the water effect.

 I also asked them to make the bottom of the paper more blue than the top, to appear like the deep sea.

 Afterwards, they painted the sketched whale using their fingertips. Again patting the canvass.

They used the glitter to make the blowhole. 

An easy and inexpensive activity that looks great. This was brilliant.
